-I know that their was a recording discovered not long ago of Woody singing This Land is Your Land, with all the verses including the 2 that are usually left out. Does anyone know where I can find it?
I decided to place this in the blues section because I figured this is where the most knowledgeable people on older music would beI hadn't heard anything about a new recording being discovered, but Woody recorded a five verse version for Folkways in the 40s, including the "private property" verse. One of his last cognizant acts was to take Arlo out in the back yard to teach him all the verses-the song was already popular by then, but most left out the "private property" and "relief office" verses. You can find Woody's five verse version on The Asch Recordings set. He also recorded several variants of the verse over the years.
